THE BRAND
Human Highness is a luxury sustainable womenswear brand that celebrates balance, creativity and timeless beauty in simplicity. We believe in elegance with a touch of a super heroic upliftment. For us it’s important to work closely with the artisans who are making our products and we choose materials based upon sustainability and creativity. Each piece is handcrafted and painstakingly tailored in Estonia, meaning the journey from sketch to garment is minimised to be based in one small country embraced by its beautiful nature. We are in no way perfect and will never claim to be, but aim to be transparent and hold ourselves accountable to you - if we together empower each other to be centered by love then only good can grow out of it. The brand was born out of the friendship of Tessy Antony De Nassau and Milli Maier. Having met years ago in London - one of the capital’s of fashion - they both instantly felt that they have a shared energy that could be formed into something inspiring.
THE FOUNDERS
Tessy Antony de Nassau is a distinguished professional with a dynamic background that seamlessly bridges the worlds of high fashion, diplomacy, and global impact. As the co-founder of *Human Highness*, a haute couture fashion line launched in 2019, Tessy has brought her unique sense of style and vision to the forefront of luxury fashion. Her commitment to sustainability and innovation in fashion reflects the same dedication she has shown in her broader career.
Beyond her fashion pursuits, Tessy is also a licensed board director with credentials from IMD and holds an MSc in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS University London. Her commitment to global sustainability and health is further demonstrated through certifications from Harvard Business School and the University of California. Early in her career, she spent 8 years as a trauma psychologist in Luxembourg and served in the Luxembourgish army, including a deployment to Kosovo at just 18 years old. Tessy was also an active member of the Royal Family of Luxembourg for 12 years.
An accomplished author, Tessy's best-selling children's book series is now expanding internationally, adding to her many creative and professional accomplishments. After completing her master's, she served as Director for EMEA Impact at VICE Media UK before founding a consultancy focused on sustainability and development in 2018.
Her leadership extends to serving on the Executive Board of Elisabeth in Luxembourg, benefiting 4,450 people and 1,940 employees, as well as the Executive Board of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland and the Advisory Board of UnaTerra VC. Tessy’s contributions have been celebrated globally, receiving accolades such as the Sino Phil Asia Peace Prize 2024 in Manila, the Dame Grand Cross of the Order of Adolphe of Nassau, and Woman of the Decade by the Women Economic Forum, among many others.
Milli is a visionary artist and award-winning designer who launched her creative career with her signature fine hair jewelry brand. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, specializing in Economics and Entrepreneurship. Her boundless creativity has shaped numerous projects, and her forward-thinking approach is highly valued across various fields.
Passionate about female empowerment, Milli founded KOHIN, one of Estonia’s largest women’s communities. The name "KOHIN" reflects the powerful sounds of nature—the wind sweeping through forests, seas, and rivers. The community’s mission is to unite women and inspirational speakers in the heart of Estonia’s wild and beautiful landscapes, fostering personal growth, and nurturing the collective feminine spirit.
In fashion, Milli gravitates towards simplicity and comfort, embracing the ritualistic beauty of everyday garments. She views fashion as a medium for storytelling, believing it has the potential to reach deep into the soul.
Milli also founded a globally unique natural clay art brand called Terra Dragon, which promotes mindfulness, creativity, and grounded energy through sustainable artistic practices. This fusion of natural art, meditation, and mindfulness has sparked a movement that is now gaining well-deserved attention.
At the core of everything Milli does is her desire to help people slow down, embrace the present moment, and cultivate gratitude for the here and now.
The Origin of HUMAN HIGHNESS
It was the year 2013 when Milli founded her signature award-winning fine hair jewellery brand and she had to identify her brand’s “Customer Profile”.
Instead of focusing on one’s financial income, race, age, marital status, nationality or occupation, she visualised a woman who constantly strives to become the evolved version of herself, keeping her head held high based on her own life values. She is inspired to give to those around her because of her sense of gratitude, love and abundance. She is emerging deep within herself - from her highest potential.
Milli imagined that such person can be called ‘Human Highness’.
